Las Vegas Homes for Sale
Las Vegas, Nevada

For those of you out there who are looking for a Las Vegas home for sale, it is always a good idea to learn an understanding of some of the local colloquialisms and jargon so that you always know what everyone is talking about and also so that you feel like you fit in completely with your new neighbors and work colleagues.  For instance, if you are planning on taking your family to see a show on a Wednesday evening or any other evening for that matter and you call the ticket office to make a reservation and the booking agent says it's a Dark Wednesday, then you'll know that that means that there are no shows on Wednesday.

Another example would be when you go out to dinner with your family or friends and a parking guard watches your vehicle or perhaps even parks it for you.  It would be customary to give him a "toke", which is the same as tipping him in the lingo of Las Vegas.  Home for sale signs are often clues to other new neighbors who might be in the same boat as you when it comes to the language of Las Vegas, so you should consider stopping over to introduce yourself and perhaps even enjoy a night out at one of the casinos along the Strip to break the ice and get to know one another.

Once you have found a Las Vegas Home for Sale and moved in, you'll be ready to begin exploring the nightlife!  In a casino, if somebody calls you a "shooter", don't worry as it simply means that you are the individual who is about to roll the dice on the craps table.  The casino dealer who moves the dice with a hooked stick on your table will be called the "Stickman" and the "Boxman" is the person who is in charge of supervising all the bets and who also takes care of the cash (if you are not playing with chips, which is usually the case).  If you hear the word "Pit boss", that is the person whose job it is to watch the entire floor and who is also in charge of all the card dealers at the numerous gaming tables.

In a casino, there is always what is called an "Eye in the Sky".  This refers to the surveillance mirrors and cameras situated throughout the casino.  There are always cameras behind these mirrors or dark windows so that security officials might oversee everything that is going on within the casino and be on the lookout for cheaters and such, as many try their luck in Las Vegas.  Home for Sale or for rent - you can choose what might suit your needs better, but either way you'll enjoy your new life in Las Vegas real estate and fit in very quickly.  A few other things to help you better know your new home state: The capital of Nevada is Carson City, while the colors of the state are silver and blue.
